My mom was a terrible cook.  I had no idea what good food was until I was about sixteen, when I borrowed the family car and drove to Berkeley.  There, I fell in love with every type of ethnic food I could find, and I’ve never looked back!

How long have you been working with Big City Chefs?

Since 2023, and I’m very happy to be here!

Ginger.  Sassy and spicy!

What I love about cooking and hospitality…

Food is community; sharing a meal is both intensely personal and group-friendly at the same time.  Preparing and sharing a meal connects and nourishes the body and soul. It brings friends, family, and complete strangers together in the best way possible.

What are your top three go-to pantry items?

Shelf stable cream, pasta, and good quality tomato products.
